Flying in Ethiopia
Went to Ethiopia on a 3 week research trip in April. Decided to travel to the north of the country for a weekend, and flying was the best option to see more in the little time I had.
Had 3 trips in all, twice with an old Fokker-50, and once with a new 737-700. All in all a good airline, but the Fokker fleet could certainly use an upgrade! At least in the cockpit, I presume the technical aspect of the plane was in order...
I flew to Bahar Dar and Gondar before heading back to Addis Ababa, all for the price of 400$. A little pricey, especially since I learned that had I flown Ethiopian Airlines on my arrival to Ethiopia, it would have cost me 100$. So that is certianly worth considering before I go again.
All in all a great flight, and the views from the plane were amazing.
