Hi everyone! This is my first post here or on any other aviation related website ever. I am a boxing and aviation nuts. You can see my boxing reports on a website named Doghouse boxing.
Anyways I went to Sky Harbor International Airport yesterday to catch the planes that brought the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots to town for the Super Bowl. I was surprised, however, to see an Airbus A340 parked there without any paint!!! It's a white airplane and it seems that it's been used by the Fire Department for emergency practice. Looking around the net it seems no one knows about this mystery aircraft. i was wondering if any of you may have some info on it! You can see the plane on the back of the photo I included here (the plane was my intended target but my dad was taking the photo and he did not get the right plane, however its on the background to the top left corner)
Thanks and God bless! This post has been edited by Antonio Santiago Jr. on 29th January 2015 - 13:00 Attached photos: |

It looks like an ex-Aerolineas Argentinas A340, do you have the registration? |

@Jose Soria: Nope...and if it was, I wish it still had Aerolineas Argentinas colors!! I've seen A340's in Lufthansa, Iberia and Qatar Airways livery...thanks for the bit! :) |

Looks like it could be 9V-SGA??? And if it is, this is it's model on 1/400 with SIA colors. This post has been edited by Antonio Santiago Jr. on 1st February 2015 - 23:39 Attached photos: |

This is definitly an Airbus A340-300, so not the Singapore in your picture (which seems to be an A340-500).
After a little research I found this: EDIT: There are a lot of A340s of Aerolineas Argentinas currently stored. The one I have found is said to be stored in GYD, not in PHX. So I'm not 100% sure. But it is definitly an ex-Aerolineas Argentinas Airbus A340-300. Former LV-BIT (Aerolineas Argentinas), now N349AT. The Aircraft is stored in Phoenix since 05.22.2014. Probably belongs to AeroTurbine Inc...

What makes you think that this is an Aerolineas A340? The old AR-livery had a grey belly (like LH has), this plane´s body is all white. I can´t imagine, that they´d repainted this plane, they just removed all the logos and titles.
To my mind it could be an AirBlue A340, ex-AP-EDF, now N281AT AeroTurbine Inc., stored GYR since 02/2014. |

Yep, Air Blue could be an option. |
