This is the return leg of my trip from CHC-AKL. Looking ahead I saw that there was 2 window seats left so I grabbed 1 and after I booked the seat the flight was fully booked. Talk about good luck.

My flight was JQ256 which is the return flight of JQ255 which operated by VH-VGT. The flight like all Jetstar NZ services are done on an Airbus A320. Enjoy this trip report.

I arrived at the airport at 1745 2 hours before departure and checked in and went up for something to eat. After that went past security and right now they are doing renovations on the terminal. With my flight boarding in about and hour and a half the only thing to do is to do some spotting. The one thing you notice about Christchurch is the amount of regional plane and the lack of jets. Lots of these aircraft I saw in Auckland when I left.

Once my aircraft had arrived we waited for about 10-15 minutes before we were allowed to board. I was the first person on board the plane and the flight attendant said that I wasn't allowed to take pictures once the doors were closed, sad from this I listened and the pictures will carry on once the seat belt sign was turned off. The flight was full and it was very full I could only see 2 free seats which were in row 1.

Once again we were early.

Once up to cruising altitude all we could see was cloud.

We were on approach for runway 23L when the worst thing happened. My camera died Luckily I bought 2 AA batteries at the airport. it took me a minute to get them in just in time for a last picture before hitting the ground. The outside viewing area which most photos on the database of AKL are shot from.

Once landed got a few cockpit shots and once inside the terminal I waited 45 minutes to get my bags.

Thanks for reading the trip report and feel free to ask me any questions about what you have seen.

Thank Jarod.

I love your work.

I have private jets blog which is about private jets, charter jets, but also for turbo prop airplanes. I have a plan to include a private jet photo section. Do you like to be guest and present your work there? My blog is http://www.privatejetreviews.net/
