Hi Everyone !

I have 2 pictures rejected and I'm looking for tips to fix them, I do agree completely with the screeners, I uploaded them to have their judgment and ask for the tips directly; for the first one, it may not be totaly my fault, as for the second, it was mine because I had forgotten from the previous day of the shooting the compensation up, that was the nightmare of my photos.

The 1st one:

http://www.airplane-pictures.net/images/rejected-images/2016-6/738651.jpg

The screeners statement was: "Main object is blurred."

The 2nd one:

http://www.airplane-pictures.net/images/rejected-images/2016-6/738678.jpg

The screeners statement was: "Main object is improperly lit. Main object is not sharp."

The Nikkor 55-200 VR may be a contributor for the sharpness issue.

Note that I shoot RAW & I use Ps CC for editing.

Greetings.

Âaziz.

Aaziz,

imho when is picture ( main object) blurred, there is no way to improve it in postprocessing. That is why the first look am doing after shoting ( always in the home on big scree) is checking sharpnes and blured pictures are deleted. I gess the ratio is 1:50. The reason is mainly shifting of camera during exposition ( long time). So I always use Time priority mode .

Shooting RAW is fine because possisibility of postprocession are wider ( for example EV compenstaion is possible in this format only ).

Universal lens (55-200 VR) are generally softer, then fixed glass. I try maximally use fixed 300 or 500 mm lenses.

Good guide when looking for new lens is here : http://www.dxomark.com/lenses/launched-between-1987-and-2016/mount_type-Nikon_F_FX/focal-from-267-to-500/lens_zoom-prime#hideAdvancedOptions=false&viewMode=grid

When you choose type of lens go in Specifications,Shaprpness, Field map to evaluete it . Comparison of 3 lenses is possible.

If there are anyr qustensions do not hesitate to contact me

BR Igor
