Not all airlines opt for the back-ups (not only the ASI I might add). BA, LH and US are a
few that do, but I don't know if it's fleetwide. Some ac may have them omitted. EC-HGT
however, an IB 319 has it fitted.

Every airliner has a backup for Airspeed-Heading-Altitude-Attitude as this is a hard
requirement for the certification of any 'big' aircraft.
These instruments dont have
to be analog though, they have to be independant of the other displays, sources and
powersystem so in case of a total electrical faillure, unrelieable readings, display
faults or other causes of loss of normal flightindications.
This Airbus, just like
almost all new Boeings and airlines have chosen for a more modern digital version instead
of the 'old' analog backup, though these are still completely independant of all other
instruments.

Sorry, I meant the analogue ones, not to confuse matters. Cheers.
