Suspended from the ceiling in Glasgow's Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum. "This Spitfire flew with 602 (City of Glasgow) Auxilliary Squadron between 1947 and 1949. It's a mark F21 Spitfire - developed in1944 towards the end of World War II. The 602 pilots were the first part time squadron to be equiped with Spitfires - on 8th May 1939. The sqaudron was disbanded at the end of World War II in 1945, but reformed a year later. They continued to fly Spitfires until 8th May 1951, exactly twelve years after the planes first arrived."
