I was a Crewchief on F-100C aircraft in 1956 thru 1958 at GEORGE AFB ,CA. in the 435 TFS and 54-2091 was assinged to the 435.,I recently comfirmed this with the archivests at MAXWELL AFB . My bird was 54-2068 and carried the name "CITY OF APPLE VALLEY". It is nice to know that at least one of our aircraft survived the drone scourage where they were blown out of the sky as targets. IT would be great to see 091 painted in SQUADRON markings since the squadron was one of the first to receive the Cs.I just saw on the net it is the only airworthy f-100-C. I hope thats true!
