"Jings - A Scottish slang exclamation. (Made famous by the comic strip character Oor Wullie) Same use as words like "cripes" or "---sakes". Also used to swear by. Jings, Crivens, Help Ma Boab! The shadow of the airport fire engine provided the perfect cover to mask my own shadow out of the scene.
