That BD5 is in the Royal Australian Airforce Association, Aviation Heritage Museum in Bull
Creek Road, Bull Creek, Perth, Western Australia.
It is a static display aircraft only
will the flaps, aelerons, tail, elevators and undercarriage built as fixed. It has no
engine. Its instruments and controls do not work. The only working parts are lights which
flash. It was built as a memorial to Daniel Flouresse, who was a RAAFA youth group member
who died as a teenager. His name is on the fusilage as the pilot. He wanted to be a RAAF
pilot. His parents donated the funds for its construction. It was built by museum
volunteers, Richard Hines and Alan Pye.
