they are due to ?

It really is beuatiful!
The vapour is caused by vortices. these are present because
air is flowing round the wingtips from the high pressure region underneith to the low
pressure region above. The pressure in the spinning vortex is low and because of this the
air can hold less moisture hence it condences out into vapour. Similarly there is mist
over the wings in the low pressure area there.
