This exact aircraft made an unpowered landing on July 23, 1983 at Gimli, Manitoba, after running out of fuel at about 40,000 feet. Arriving flight AC123 from Toronto makes a smooth touchdown on the slick concrete of runway 30. The 319 to the right is departing flight AC176.

The Gimli Glider. This aircraftt is now retired and has probably been broken up?
