Not actually a Qantas aircract as it is not Australian registered. It is USA registered
and privately owned, however it retains the old Qantas appearence of the late 1960's. I
understand that there is one of these B707-138's connected with the well known John
Travolta.
It may have been Qantas owned back in the 1960's era.

Well a lot of what you said is correct, and John Travolta does own a B707-138. If you
look real close at the N#, (the aircraft's registration), you will indeed see....
N707JT....the JT...John Travolta!

A bit of trivia - my family were the very first to fly this actual aircraft; delivering it
from Seattle to Sydney in September 1964. Wonderful to see it back in the air. We
watched the building of it at the Boeing Factory in Seattle; two were built in 1964 EBL
(arrived Sydney August) and EBM (arrived September)

Agree with "Audrey" 's last comment. Tragic news on the loss of their son Jett.
Interestingly enough it is the name he gave this aircraft, along with his daughter's;
Jett Clipper Ella. R.I.P.

I saw it last Sunday in Ezeiza Airport in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I didn´t know it was
John Travolta´s, then I googled it and found out.
It was great seeing it taking off
just before us with all that black smoke coming out it´s engines

I was listening on my handheld airband radio yesterday around 9pm (SA Time).
Was
listening in, as I am doing my Light Sport License and need to get used to the RT.
Happened to hear Mr Travolta speak to the ATC.
This is the part I herd.
ATC:
"Welcome to Cape Town Mr Travolta"
JT: "Thank you, Sir."
Awesome to here it.
