Hey, my name is Marius and I'm 15 years old. I live in Geilenkirchen , a little town in the western area of Germany. It's very close to the dutch border and not that far from Cologne and Düsseldorf. Aviation has always been something special for me - when I was a child it was magical for me to watch through the terminal windows to observe all the different planes in their colorful liveries. Furthermore I grew up next to the NATO-Airbase Geilenkirchen with it's loud AWACS 707 - so airplanes were always linked to my everyday life. I started taking photos of airplanes back in 2010 when i bought my first camera , the Canon 450D. The 70-300 IS USM followed as my lens. In November 2011 I bought the Canon 100-400IS as the replacement for the 70-300 to upgrade the quality of my photos. My real "home-airports" are Maastricht and Geilenkirchen , but I spend most of time in Düsseldorf - better traffic :) Luckily it's only 50min from here... When I started spotting I was more into 90° degrees sideshots because the registration was visible - but I started to change my style with the new 400mm lens: bodyshots,close-ups and other different angles got more and more interesting for me. I learned that creativity is the key for aviation photos, and this is why I found myself here. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions , I will try to answer as fast as possible. :)
