Atlantic Airways
Atlantic Airways have taken re-delivery of their first Avro 100, after re-paint into in their new corporate livery. The livery was expected by many to be unveiled with the delivery of the first Airbus A319 which was recently rolled out at Airbus“ Finkenwerder facility in Hamburg. The first aircraft in the striking new scheme was however OY-RCC which was rolled out last week.
Despite having had the runway extended at Vagar on the Faroe Islands from 1250 to 1799 meters, the aircraft had to await a heavy weather front to clear before embarking on the first flight in the new livery. The extension of the runway is the reason Atlantic Airways now can take on take on the larger Airbus A319. OY-RCC of Atlantic Airways is seen awaiting its delayed flight at Copenhagen.
