An OLT Express Airbus A320 flying from Warsaw to the Red Sea coast in Egypt was forced to emergency land in Sofia, Bulgaria, Thursday.
Crew were running around with fire extinguishers,” one passenger told the TVN 24 news station, after the charter plane was forced to land at Sofia airport on its way from Chopin international airport in the Polish capital to Hurghada, Egypt.
The 142 passengers plus crew left the plane via emergency exits after the the Airbus touched down at Sofia airport at 12.58 local time.
“None of the passengers were hurt and they are being cared for at the airport," Magdalena Grzybowska, a spokeswoman for the OLT Express airline has said.
OLT Express is a new carrier on the market, which made its inaugural flight from Warsaw airport on 1 April this year.
