Dolomiti AT72 runs off the runway at Munich

An Air dolomiti ATR-72-500, registration I-ADCD, got off the runways at Munich airport today. The aircraft flew from Munich to Venice with 58 passengers and 4 crew on board when the crew reported smoke in the cockpit and started their return to Munich.

The aircraft was landing on the Munich runway 26L while the aircraft veered left and stopped about 80 metres off the runway close to the perimeter fence. The witnesses reported that the engine number two was shut down during the landing. No injuries were reported.
