Airshows
UK - England
2009's airshow at Kemble was successfully changed to an all weekend show, from the traditional Sunday "Fathers Day" one day event. All in all the layout of the static areas was much better than last year with photographic access to all aircraft on the southside.
Unfortunately due to operational commitments the C-17 did not make the show, but this is understandable. There was still plenty on offer though, with the likes of the Sea Vixen, Vulcan and Typhoon, just to name a few. Also some great displays from the Reds, Yakovlevs, Team Guinot and the marvelous Swift Glider Team. Even the USAF joined us this year with a flypast with the Boeing KC-135R.
After what was forecast as a glorious weekend, the weather did not play ball and we were reduced to just a few glimpses of the sun.
Congratulations to the Kemble team for giving us another great show!!
