SkyEurope suspended its operation on Tue 1st September 2009 due to the lack of sufficient interim funding to finance ongoing operations. All flights are suspended with immediate effect.
Slovak airline SkyEurope has a long record of financial problems. The low-cost carrier has never been in black numbers since its founding in 2001. In June 2009, the airline filed for bankruptcy protection.
