Cargojet Airways 767-200ER re-fuel stop is believed to be the first visit of this airline at Glasgow-Prestwick since the start of Cargojet-LOT cooperation.
Cargojet Airways has entered into a strategic aircraft wet lease agreement with LOT Polish Airlines, which came into effect on 7 November 2009. The airline operates one weekly transatlantic flight between Hamilton International Airport and Poland on Saturdays.
Cargojet Airways is a Canadian-based cargo airline, established in 2002, that operates cargo services as well as aircraft charters. Its main base is John C Munro Hamilton International Airport. Cargojet operate Boeing 767-200ER, 757-200ER, 727-200AF and several smaller aircraft types.
The aircraft was captured by Airplane-Pictures.net members DJ, Bob Logan and Speedpics at Prestwick Airport in lovely winter light. Stu Doherty also provided a shot of water salute at Katowice, Poland, on the first arrival on the 8th of November.
