Air India Express, 737-800 VT-AXV has crashed at Mangalore in South East India. The aircraft was on a flight from Dubai and overran runway 24 on landing. It hit the localiser antenna and ran off the end of the runway. The airfield at Mangalore is situated on a hilltop and the aircraft fell into a ravine and burst into flames. Aboard the aircraft were 167 passengers and 6 crew. Sadly there were only 8 survivors who managed to get out of the aircraft as it broke up.
