For reasons that remain unknown, a two seater of the Spanish Air Force 11th Fighter Wing hit the ground while performing a tactic take-off in an ordinary instruction mission. The incident occurred about 09:30 on 24th August 2010.
The Spanish pilot managed to save his life thanks to the ejector seat.The trainee, Saudi lieutenant colonel, failed to leave the aircraft and died on the crash. In the moment of the accident the speed of the plane was between 200 and 300 kilometers per hour.
Training of Saudi Arabia pilots is done under an agreement by the Ministry of Defense with the Government of Saudi Arabia, in order to train the future crews in the management of the Eurofighter will receive in the coming years.

Just to confirm that the aircraft on the picture, CE.16-08 11-77, is the one that crashed.
