Boeing resumed flight tests with the 787 Dreamliner on Friday with the fourth of the test aicraft ZA004, registration N7874, after nearly 3 weeks.
On November 9, a Boeing 787 Dreamliner test flight was evacuated after landing in Laredo, Texas due to smoke detected in the cockpit. No injuries were reported, but the incident raised questions about the safety of the aircraft. Boeing said the aircraft lost primary electrical power as a result of an oboard electrical fire. Backup systems allowed the crew to perform a safe landing.
On Thursday, a day before the test flight, Boeing installed an interim version of updated power distribution in ZA004.
