The Canadian Armed Forces have sent a detachment to Italy, which staged through Prestwick Airport on Friday night, to enforce the UN no-fly zone over Libya.
The force consisting of seven F-188 Hornets, and a CP-140 Orion night stopped at Prestwick, while two CF-150 Airbus and one CC-117 Globemaster supported the mission.
