Lufhansa's A380, registration D-AIMA, made a first visits of this aircraft type to several European airports on Saturday 19th of March. D-AIMA is the first A380 that entered Lufthansa's fleet back in June 2010.
A380 made its first landing in Poland in 7.55AM at Frederic Chopin International Airport. The flight was to be cancelled due to delay in delivery of the 5th A380 for Lufthansa, but eventually it was confirmed. Despite bad weather (poor visibility and snowfall in the morning) many photographers from different cities came to see this event including our contributor Drzemi.
D-AIMA then took off in 9.38AM for Istanbul. Later it flew to Luqa International airport in Malta, where it was captured in a great light by Airplane-Pictures.net members Ray Abela and Franco Debattista.
In the last leg of the tour the aircraft returned to Frankfurt.
