One-Two-Go Halts Flights

One-Two-Go Airlines, Thailand's second-biggest budget carrier, will suspend operations for about two months after fuel prices almost doubled in a year. The carrier will ground its planes from tomorrow until Sept. 15 2008.Another breaking news from Thailand.Civil Aviation Department Director-General Chaisak Angkasuwan announced at a press conference on Monday that Orient Thai Airline and its subsidiary, One-Two-Go Airline were to suspend operations for 30 days, starting July 22. It was reported the air operator certificates of the two airlines were suspended because of poor safety standards.Year 2008 is sure a tough year for aviation.
RMAF's 50th anniversary celebration

RMAF (Royal Malaysian Air Force) celebrated the golden jubilee in Subang airbase on 1st June 2008. It was known as Malayan Air Force and was officially launched by the government on 2nd June 1958, 1 year after the independance. Subang Airbase is open to the public on 1st June 2008 with static display and aerial display to woo the crowds. More photos will be added from time to time.
King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan official visit to Malaysia 2008

King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan is making a two-day working Visit to Malaysia on 15 and 16 May 2008. His Majesty King Abdullah II will be accompanied by Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah.This plane is coming in as flight No. RJ1 from Sri Begawan, Brunei. Malaysia is the second stop for the king's visit.
Oasis Hong Kong Airlines ceased operations

Oasis Hong Kong Airlines began as a long-haul low-cost airline based in Hong Kong, Its inaugural route to London Gatwick Airport commenced service on October 26, 2006 and Vancouver on June 28, 2007. The airline was voted "World’s Leading New Airline" at Annual World Travel Award 2007. Oasis Hong Kong financial wasn’t that good due to the low fare charged and escalating oil prices. Oasis Hong Kong has announced that it will cease operations on April 9th 2008 and that it will end all services immediately.1 less nice livery for spotters to shoot. GMG Airlines plane diverted, lands at Don Mueang Airport

(BangkokPost.com) - Pilots of a Bangladesh budget airline GMG Airlines heading from Malaysia to Dhaka made an emergency landing at Don Mueang Airport on Tuesday morning after a man created a disturbance on board.The man was taken into custody by the Immigration Bureau after the plane landed in Bangkok.The man - believed to have mental problems - used a knife to try to attack other passengers... 2008 F1 season 2nd leg is in Sepang, Malaysia from 22nd to 24th Mac 2008. As usual, some ad-hoc or rare traffic will come this way. I have only a few photos to share as my camera is doing "C" check in service centre. 8-(

Singapore Airshow 2008 was held at the brand new Changi North exibition hall from 19 to 24th Feb '08. Besides the aerospace and defense exibition, static display and the daily crowd puller aerobatic displays from 1215 to 1345. Photos will be added from time to time. Enjoy !

After 30 years of duoploy for the route KUL-SIN by MH & SQ, 1st Feb '08 is the day open to other airlines nominated by their own government. Malaysia has got 2 flightd for AirAsia and Singapore nominated Tiger Airways & Jetstar Asia to carry 1 flight each. These flights should be operated during the non-peak hours. Historical day indeed for passengers to see lower fares in the future for this route.
Jan '08 - New airline flyyeti.com flying into KUL

flyyeti.com is a joint venture between Air Arabia and Yeti Airlines of Nepal. The new carrier started service from Kathmandu airport this week to two destinations, Sharjah and Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia.
Jan '08 - Singapore Airlines A380 in KUL

SQ received thier 2nd A380 last week and reached SIN on 12th Jan '08 morning. SQ will utilize 1 A380 for their crew training in Jan & Feb '08.
