Battle of Britain memorial flypast and participants - NZ Warbirds

A large number of Warbirds aircraft took part in the Battle of Britain memorial flypast Sunday 21 September. Included were Spitfire, Kittyhawk and Mustang along with Harvards, Catalina and Dc 3, a Miles Messenger and a number of other types totalling 25. Most were on display at NZ Warbirds hangar for public viewing in the afternoon.
Two Japan Navy P-3C II Orion visit Auckland.

Two P-3C II Orions from the Japan Maritime Self-Defence Force (JMSDF) are in New Zealand to participate in the Proliferation Security Initiative (PSI) Exercise MARU from Sept 12 to 19.
RAF Lockheed Tristar ZD950 visit to Auckland

Cessna 400 demonstrator visits Ardmore

The latest offering from Cessna was on display near the Auckland Aero Club cafe and also caught taking off on runway 21.
Two ex Air Malta Boeing 737 have been added to the Air New Zealand fleet.

Air New Zealand has purchased two Boeing 737 aircraft ex Air Malta to expand the fleet and add more services to domestic routes. 9H-ADH becomes ZK-NGP and 9H-ADI becomes ZK-NGR. Both aircraft are painted in the now standard ANZ colours minus the Pacific Wave.

The latest warbird arrival was rolled out today in new markings for engine run test before first flight tomorrow. Another great achievement by the Avspecs team.
Singapore Airlines introduces Boeing 777-300ER to Auckland service

Singapore Airlines replaced its Boeing 747-400 service to Auckland with the arrival today of the Boeing 777-300ER landing on 23L.
Freedom Air has gone as OJO is back in Air New Zealand colour scheme

ZK-OJO is in Air New Zealand colour scheme with out the Pacific Wave making it the last aircraft in Freedom Air which officially finished on 6 April.
Balloons over Waikato 2008

The annual Balloons over Waikato festival was held in Hamilton from April 9 - April 13 this year with some good weather for enthusiasts. This helped make up for last year when the weather was not the best. Many local balloonists took part along with some from Australia, Brazil and USA.
Thai introduces Boeing 777 on Bangkok - Auckland route.

On 30 March 2008 Thai introduced the Boeing 777 on the Bangkok to Auckland route replacing the Airbus A340 for the Northern Summer season.
