The flight 731 of the Central American Airways Company crashed at 14:00 GMT on February 14, 2011 about 7 miles south of the VOR Toncontin, in the place known as The Mesitas, municipality of Santa Ana, dying 12 people and two crew members in this place also occurred accidents involving a Boeing 727 on October 21, 1989 and years later an Electra which belonged to TAN. The accident may have occurred due to bad weather conditions prevailing in the area of approach to the runway, the aircraft crashed was a Let 410 with registration HR-AUQ.
