In the radar controlled airspace over the south of England this is a rare occurrence. On this occasion the lower Air France 747 was rapidly overhauling the Continental 767 so the radar returns would only have merged for a short while.

Great shot Steve; I presume though that there is still min. 1000ft. vertical separation
between aircraft. What lens BTW?... even my 500mm mirror lens doesn't get this close!
