Still showing traces of its former RCAF life as 10775. In 1984, this aircraft suffered an accident at Venetie, Alaska when it veered off the runway where it collided with a snow bank and nosed over.

At the time the photo was taken, N15509 was probably owned by Hawkins & Powers of
Graybull, Wyoming and fighting a fire around there somewhere.
A sister ship,
N15501, also a former Canadian, was used in the re-make of the 2003 movie "Flight of
the Phoenix." To make the movie, the aircraft was flown from Wyoming to Namibia on the
west coast of S. Africe--and back. Quite a flight for a 50 year old airplane. In 2007, it
was sold to a buyer in Phoenix, AZ. It is not known if there are any plans to keep it
flying.

I am thinking this is "Miss Piggy" owned by T&G aviation in Chandler, AZ. It was on
contract in Minden, NV about 1983 last I remember.

This could be the aircraft used by Trans World Airlines (TWA) in the late 1940's and
50's to transport Lockheed Constellation "Connies" engines around Europe and Middle
East. It was set up so mechanics could change engines in the field. TWA used it until
the "Connies" were retired in the early 60's.
