In March 1964, I was being checked out to fly our new, (for our company World wide AIrways
of Montreal, Quebec, Canada) L1049G Super Connie. My first look at our bird was from under
the port (left) wing similar to the photo. Our registration was CF - PXX

Further to my previous comment I remember thinking that I couldn't believe it would fly,
it was so huge. Needless to say I was cheked out in the aircraft and found it a delight
to fly, stable, responsive and easy to land. In all I flew the type about 1,100 hours.
