Can anybody help me identify this roundel seen on a Merlin last week. The aircrew were just as interested so I suspect this is a developing story?...

I had a look this morning. Could it be a low-vis Austrian roundel?
It is a Class B registration so it can't easily be Googled as they re-use them.

I would agree with you but Austria have not ordered any AW101's? Nothing on the net either. |

I don't think its Austrian. There are no rumors here,that the army will get any new helicopters.And if austrian would think about new helis, the typ is wrong. maybe some more blackhawks or some light helis,but not such a typ. |

And beside: the roundel would either be red and white, or Black on Green .. |

For the record it was for the new James Bond movie 'Skyfall'...images to come from a weekend on set but unable to post them until it's released on 9th November. |
