This picture got rejected because it's too light

What do you think? Should I reduce the brightness?

Hi Vince,

First of all, I think that it's a pretty image and personally I love the reflex in the fuselage, but yes, the image looks too light, the shadows particularly.

Try to add a levels layer and close the blacks to 15-20, in this way you get dark in the shadows and more general contrast (without lose brightness).

See the attached pic, it's easy and effective and the image gets more "punch".

P.S: IMHO, if it's possible, add more background in the bottom, maybe has too much sky.

Javi.

Got a "photo too light" feedback and immediate rejection without option of 2nd screener, what do you all think.

Should i appeal yes or no.

Best Regards Gregory

Hello Gregory!

To your question no, don't appeal.

The image is clearly too light. If you look at the histogram, you will see that there's missing information on the blacks.

Advice: If you close around 25-30 the black levels and open 10 the whites, you will get an image with more contrast and clear and they won't reject it.

See attached picture.

Kind regards.

Javi.
