Check here. In my opinion A9, have more focus point, more good in low iso, more shot battery.

Hi Menno
I've done some research for you and in my opinion those 2 cameras have their pros and cons.
The A7r III has a 45 megapixel sensor, 10fps but a smaller ISO range. The A9 only has a 24 megapixel sensor but a much higher ISO range and it makes 20 pictures per second. And as LRCV said the A9 has much more AF points (693) than the A7r III (425).
I'm not sure if the price matters that much to you but from what I've seen (Swiss prices, may vary depending on the country) the A7r III is about 3500.- € and the A9 about 5500.- €. In the end you need to decide which one you're getting. I'm sure both cameras are suitable for spotting if you have a good lens for them ;)
Hope I could help a bit. Regards, Adrian

Yes make sure to get a good lens. It is maybe more important.
And find out if you really need 45 megapixel.
