Good Afternoon everyone !

This photo has been rejected for "Improper colour profile of "ProPhoto RGB" found" reason. I dont understand why. The photos are always saved in sRGB format.

Does anyone see it the same?

Thanks a lot for your help !

If you use photoshop, the pictures are only saved in sRGB if you EXPORT them. Save as uses photoshops standard colour settings which in your case will be ProPhoto RGB.

You have two options, export them with the export function or change the default colour settings to sRGB.

I remember when Martin made sure that both profiles are accepted here. Silly reason.

Hi Íñigo,

I don't know the color profile you use, but what I can say is that while almost everyone's pictures look the same no matter what screen I see them on, yours look very different when I see them on my mobile for example, blue-ish an ddesaturated, so there is definitely something wrong in there. Change the color profile (edit -> convert to profile -> Destination space: sRGB) and then "save as".

Saludos!

Hey Kamil

The problem is that firefox can't handle the ProPhoto RGB profile in all situations and they are improperly displaied in some cases. I had this problem also a few times and it is not a problem of ap itself. The problem actually is firefox. Chrome and Edge can handle this and display all pictures correct.

Dear LRCV

Would you please be so kind and use your own thread to discuss what in your opinion is "too much or not" - "necessary or unnecessary"?

This would be helpful to discuss someones question(s) without unrelated links and topics?

Thank you for your understanding

Dominik

With all due respect Wallace, when I first joined the site you were an editor yourself and indeed gave me much encouragement and good advice. So why give up that position and leave completely - surely the best way to influence and change things for the better is from the inside, not to criticise from outside. You obviously have some sort of axe to grind which is a shame because this is still the premier aviation website for creative photography. Sure not all photos are to everyone's taste but many like to see different approaches to editing.

As I said, you helped me improve my editing skills in the early days but to criticise individual photographers in such a public way is not good form.
