If a picture was taken at an airshow, Do you have to check the newsworthy box at the photo upload? |

I suppose you have to because it also sais events. And an airshow counts as an event.

You do not "have to" check the box. It just adds the photo to that current event on the home page so people can search it quickly if they want to see photos from everybody. |

If you tick "news" box and leave a proper comment (about the event), your photo will be added to the event. When there'll be at least 5 photos from one event, then it will be published on the main page. |
