Depends on what camera you have to start with. An old used semi-pro camera compared to a new entry level camera. This post has been edited by Wallace Shackleton on 17th January 2013 - 19:55 |

Hi Wallace I have the 1100D and was considering getting a second hand 40D as the title says. Anyone got experiences with the 40D? |

It's a nice camera, but a generation older than the 1100D. You'll feel the difference on the display and the menus.
I really don't know about the image. I only shot once with it, together with a 7D, but each one with different lenses and for different subjects: 7D for spotting and 40D for shooting an activity on I was on.
The problem is that the T3i/1100D is kind of quality and feature-capped, while the 40D was a semipro body with some nice features - it really feels like the predecessor of 7D.
Check how many shots the 40D has, it's important to help you making the decision. This post has been edited by Lvcivs on 18th January 2013 - 02:14 |
