These H-21B helicopters were flown by the RCAF from 1954 until 1973. They were powered by a Wright R-1820-103 1,425 hp radial engine in the rear. Maximum speed was 211 km/h. She could carry 20 passengers and 3 crew. Not bad for the old girl! These machines were used for SAR as well as the construction or arctic radar warning sites in the far north as the H-21 had winterization features permitting operation at temperatures as low as −65 °F (−54 °C), and could be routinely maintained in severe cold weather environments.

This poor girl looks absolutely beat to hell. Poor thing. They even cut off the rotor
blades. Saving space I guess but still sad to see.
