The mighty Martin Mars seaplanes surrounded by all their ground handling equipment, transports, engine work shelters and ladders at the Coulson Air Tankers facility. You can see the second Mars tanker called the Philippine Mars to the right. She was to be transferred to Pensacola Florida to for display at the US Navy Museum so she was painted up in full US Navy colors. Then the deal was put on hold. Not sure why. This is a company facility with fences everywhere. There are no tours or points to see these great planes from which is sad.

Yeah. It is a long drive and then not much to see. They used to do tours but have scaled
them back in recent years. You have to have a very long lens and shoot from across the
lake or go out on a boat to get photos these days.

Just walk in with your Rottweiler by your side, take your pics then walk out...works for
me !
