Southwest Airlines is the airline with the world's largest fleet of Boeing 737s. I took this picture of the 737 while visiting the Frontiers of Flight Museum in Dallas, TX. One interesting fact is that this aircraft was the first Boeing 737-300 to enter commercial service anywhere in the world. Can you believe that the aircraft was delivered to Southwest Airlines in 1984?! This aircraft, N300SW, is named ''The Spirit of Kitty Hawk'' and it is preserved at the museum. The museum is located right near the Dallas Love Field Airport and departures and arrivals can be seen from inside the museum when the runway 31R is in use. This airport was Dallas' main airport until 1974 when Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) opened. Did you know that Southwest Airlines is the world's largest low-cost carrier? Thanks to Herb Kelleher's vision and ideas, people get to travel today more easily!
