This aircraft as N471WN, over ran the runway at Chicago Midway Airport, 8 Dec 2005 when the pilot failed "to use available reverse thrust in a timely manner." The aircraft then "rolled through a blast fence, and airport perimeter fence, and onto an adjacent roadway, where it struck an automobile before coming to a stop. A child in the automobile was killed." Further "Eighteen of the 103 airplane occupants (88 passengers, 3 flight attendants, and 2 pilots) received minor injuries, and the airplane was substantially damaged." NTSB report: DCA06MA009

This airplane has had a previous registration, N471WN. To make matters much, much, MUCH
worse, Southwest had to re-register it in 2005 when this plane overran the runway in
Chicago and killed a six-year-old boy in a car ;(
