Today, Saturday the 25th of May 2024, a Spitfire crashed in a field next to the Langrick Road during the Battle of Britain Airshow at RAF Coningsby.I am very saddened to report that the pilot did not survive the crash.According to the Aviation Safety Network, the Spitfire was MK356 [CBAF.IX.1561] an Mk.IXMK356 was owned by the RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight at RAF Coningsby.My condolences and I am sure yours goes to the Family, Friends, and the wider RAF Family.
