Author's remark: Air India's baby-bus leading the morning departure queue at Mumbai Airport. This particular airframe was delivered to Air India in November 2007 and served the airline until her withdrawal from active service in November 2019. After five years in storage at Kolkata Airport, she was ultimately dismantled in April 2024. Currently, Air India has retired a total of 18 Airbus A319s from its fleet, leaving just six operational aircraft of this type. The gradual phase-out of these planes reflects the airline's ongoing fleet modernization efforts.
