Photographer's remark
(14.9.2008, 07:37 CET)
This old lady (a 727-51) with a long history was stored at Kabul for several years in the dust. After a little brushing up this aircraft was ferried to the other side of the HinduKush mountains where rumours say it had to make a forced landing in Mazar-e Sharif. Now still stored in a remote corner of this Northern airfield and waiting for her fate... that doesn't look all too good.
But until that time she keeps on looking good with her golden paintjob and flowing lines.

My office is about 30 meters away from current location of this Lady... she is in a really
bad shape right now... have lost right engine already... and wings are in pieces... some
glasses are broken... i see your note is written in September 2008 and now its october
2009.. right a year later... its really sad... because i'm a big fan of 727 family... if
i could effort to buy this golden lady, i would have done that and would made a great
restaurant out of it... :(
