This Dornier Do-17Z Werke number 1160, coded 5K-AR is apparently the only one still in existence. It has been recovered from the Goodwin Sands off the coast of Ramsgate, UK. It is shown here as it arrives at Ramsgate harbour. The Do-17 was know as the flying pencil, because of its thin fuselage. I will be transported to the RAF museum at Cosford where it will be restored during the coming two years. 1/2000, f6.3, ISO 500, 300mm
Researchers believe the wreck to be that of aircraft call sign 5K-AR. The plane was shot down on Aug. 26, 1940.
