Overview of Cumbernauld Airport's runway and aprons, to the left in way of the line of trees is the Antonine Wall, constructed circa 142 AD by the Romans to keep the marauding ginger bearded Caledonians out of Britannia, there is no truth in the rumour that management want the wall extended around the full perimeter of the airfield.

I still have nightmares about a visit that I had there last year. Cumbernauld Airport is
not a nice place to visit as a spotter or photographer.

The antonine wall was actually a 'v' shaped ditch, not a wall.
