Author's remark: | The shell of this Catalina was found dumped in the marshes of Ardmore airport. Classic Fliers Air Museum in Tauranga, New Zealand brought it down from Auckland and are rebuilding it to exact specs. There is only this part of the body, no wings, tail section or engines. It will eventually be put on display for visitors to be able to walk through and see how the airmen worked in this aircraft. | |
