Photographer's remark

On 13th June 1945 the B-24H Liberator 42-95095 took off from Prestwick to return home to the USA. Shortly after take-off the aircraft got into difficulties and in poor weather conditions tried to make an emergency landing. She almost cleared the mountain, but crashed in and around Fairy Lochs. Much of the aircraft remains. If you should visit, please leave it there.
