Dropzone Heeswijk located, while passing over the "T", the jumpmaster holds the streamers ready for release. The streamers will aid him in assessing and guiding our Skytrain to the correct location for the jump, that way, all paras should be able to land inside the designated dropzone (DZ). Dropzone Heeswijk is the dropzone where in 1944 501 PIR of the 101st AB was supposed to land. Because their pathfinders were shot down, they landed in another place. The drop zone however was the scene of very heavy fighting during the Allied advance and attacks towards the town of Veghel. Today the Round Canopy Parachuting Team and Dakota L4 of Aces High commemorated this Market Garden event by performing para drop at this historic site.
