Real scale model (1: 1) "Bleriot XI". The first airplane that flew over Gran Canaria - Canary Islands, in April 1913.The Ingenio town close to the Las Palmas Airport, has installed in the Aviation Park in Las Majoreras, this plane to commemorate the "Centenary of the Aviation in the Canaries 1913-2013"For 15 months, a group of people, including carpenters, blacksmiths and painters, has been there working entirely altruistic in this model that has been implemented according to the plans of the aircraft, and using mostly the same materials that comprised the original, such as wood and sheet metal, unless other elements such as wings were canvas but have been replaced with resin to suit the area that has been exposed. The model also includes the bust of the pilot of the plane, Leoncio Garnier.
