Photographer's remark
(25.12.2016, 16:24 CET)
On November 24th 1973 a US Navy DC-3 was forced to crash land on Sólheimasandur beach, Iceland. Sources suggest, that the plane ran out of fuel after the pilot switched to the wrong fuel tank. Luckily everyone survived and ever since the plane is abandoned on the black Icelandic beach. A sight I´ll never forget. The picture was taken at 11PM, the walk takes about 40 Minutes each! Note the light rays coming out though the windows.
